Kovak are a Brighton based band who I've worked with alot. For their track "Electric City Lights" we wanted to make something that would keep the audience hooked into 1 shot and keep enough action on screen to keep them interested. Cue a backwards 1 take shoot that caused pain, chaos and mess... Filmed on DV cam by Matt Ford at ppl studios - easiest edit ever (just reversed the action) on Final Cut Pro.
Boogaloo Stu came to me with some crazy wigs, puppets and the sparklemotion show ponies. How could I resist making a video with a bag of tricks like that. The shoot was amazing fun and I'm thrilled with the end result... Filmed on DV cam by Matt Ford at ppl studios - edited myself on Final Cut Pro
I learnt loads both on the shoot and doing the edit for this video for Kovak which was very much me wanting to do something and then learning by trial and error how to do it. The flashing dance floor just brings the song to life and the video has had over 35,000 hits on YouTube. Filmed on Digi Beta by Matt Ford at ppl studios - edited myself on Final Cut Pro
